The lead singer of the Gipsy Kings Nicolas Reyes is the main voice of this Spanish group since the bands beginning in 1978. The famous songs of the Gipsy Kings, such as ‘Bamboléo’, ‘Djobi Djoba’, ‘Volare’ and many others, feature the sound of flamenco guitars and the spirit of modern sensibilities. As a Gitanos group, Reyes and the others have been traveling around the globe, bringing their fans a taste of their Gitano roots. In 1987, Nicolas Reyes was involved in the groundbreaking album of the Gipsy Kings as well as the 1989 album ‘Mosaïque’ that reached the level of platinum in several countries. Today, Nicolas Reyes is touring everywhere in order to give his fans a flavor of the special music that he and his group of Gitanos have created.
The Gipsy Kings bring in a in a mix of traditional Spanish guitar and the modern rhythms of salsa and pop, creating a very unique sound that is enjoyed by fans of many different cultures worldwide. Legendary Greek Theater performances will take place at Griffith Park in the middle of Los Angeles, California to host the extraordinary Gipsy Kings & Nicolas Reyes show scheduled for Friday, August 7, 2016. A performance at the Greek Theater provides attendees with the ultimate experience to absorb the sounds of that night’s performance while viewing a magnificent outdoor amphitheater. The surrounding California atmosphere is the perfect occasion to experience live music of such high caliber as found in the flamenco rumba of the Gipsy Kings.
For this performance, parking will be available outside the Greek Theater in the lots designated for that venue. If these lots are filled, there are other parking areas located throughout Griffith Park. Some of the lots will be farther of a walk than others. There are many lots within walking distance to the Greek.
